OpusX Gladiator S Lighter

Unless you have one stashed away in your humidor, lighting up an OpusX to celebrate the brand's 10th anniversary could be tough -- it's about the toughest cigar brand in America to buy. Prometheus International Inc. is making it a little bit easier. The California-based company is releasing a limited-edition OpusX lighter at this summer's Retail Tobacco Dealers of America trade show in Las Vegas, and the lighter comes with three OpusX cigars.

The lighter, which commemorates the OpusX anniversary, is the same as Prometheus's Gladiator S model. It features a wind-resistant laser flame and a built-in pair of stainless steel cigar scissors, but has the OpusX logo hand-engraved on both sides of the lighter. It is finished with black crystal lacquer and plated in diamond silver. Prometheus is manufacturing only 1,000 lighters and each has an engraved serial number. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Along with the lighter, Prometheus is including three OpusX Reserva D'Chateau cigars. The cigars come packaged in glass tubes.

For Prometheus, the Fuente Fuente OpusX Gladiator S lighter isn't the first time the company has released a product in conjunction with OpusX. In 1999, the company released 200 limited-edition OpusX humidors filled with 100 OpusX cigars, and in 2000 it followed with a series of OpusX travel humidors, which came with 20 OpusX cigars and a version of Prometheus's V cutter bearing the OpusX logo.

The Fuente Fuente OpusX Gladiator S lighter retails for $250 and comes with a five-year warranty. For more information, call Prometheus at 323-261-7200.
