Nubs Cross the Pond

Nubs, the squat, eye-grabbing cigars from Nicaragua, are coming to the United Kingdom.

In April, longtime British cigar shop JJ Fox of St. James's will host three days of Nub events to welcome the pudgy cigars to British shores.

Sam Leccia, the creator of Nubs, Jose Oliva, vice president of Oliva Cigar Co.—which makes the cigars—and Brian Shapiro, Oliva's international sales manager, will be at the events.

Shapiro said, "If you are to be taken seriously outside the U.S., success in the U.K. is a must."
