Three of the Red Wings' best -- as well as the NHL's -- share a smile and a light. In this undated photo, Ted Lindsay (left), Gordie Howe (center) and Alex Delvecchio enjoy a cigar at the rink. The three Hall of Famers were major components in the nickname change of Detroit -- from the Motor City to Hockeytown. The trio rank sixth, first and third on the Red Wings' all-time points list.
Cigars and the Stanley Cup
New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur holds an early edition newspaper headlining his team's Cup clinching victory over the Dallas Stars on June 10. After the double overtime contest, Brodeur sat in his locker stall with most of his equipment still strapped on, smoking cigars and embracing Lord Stanley's trophy.
