Habanos 2009 Edición Limitada Cigars Hit Shops Early

Posted: September 4, 2009
Cuba's latest have made an early appearance. Normally released in the fall, this year's Edición Limitada cigars from Cuba shipped to retail shops in August, and we tested them all in Cigar Insider.
This year, the three cigars chosen for the Edición Limitada program were the Romeo y Julieta Duke, a thick cigar measuring 5 1/2 inches by 54 ring; the H. Upmann Magnum 48, a petit robusto measuring 4 3/8 by 48; and the Bolivar Petit Belicoso measuring 5 by 52.
Along with the Edición Limitadas, Habanos has also released the Trinidad Robusto T, the newest addition to the Trinidad line since 2003 and the first time that a Trinidad cigar is available in a tubo. It measures 4 7/8 by 50, which are the standard robusto specs on the Habanos size chart.
For more information on these new releases, and to find out how well they scored in our blind tasting, see the September 8 issue of Cigar Insider.
