El Triunfador to Become a Full Brand
Gregory Mottola
Posted: February 1, 2010
Remember El Triunfador? It was the secret lancero that Tatuaje brand owner Pete Johnson didn't want you to know about when it came out in 2008. Well now he does want you to know about it because it is being turned into a full fledged line.
El Triunfador will now come in five sizes. While the original El Triunfador Lancero has a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper from the United States, the new line will have an Ecuadoran Habano cover leaf. The internal tobacco, although all Nicaraguan, has also been adjusted in order to better complement the new wrapper.
Johnson does not intend for this blend to be full-bodied.
The Triunfador will come in six sizes and retail for $6 to $9 per cigar. It will ship to retail stores in March.
