Cigar Oasis Ultra

Anytime you can take some of the guesswork out of cigar storage, it's a good thing. Cigar Oasis, a familiar name in the small world of cigar humidifiers, has just come out with the Ultra, which aims to make caring for your sticks a more calculated process.
The Ultra is a hygrometer and hydrometer in one. It pairs a digital screen for displaying the humidity reading inside your box alongside a sealed 3 X 3 X 2-inch water cartridge, which holds and permeates distilled H2O. The hygrometer is hooked up to a microprocessor that reads the humidity in the humidor and regulates the flow of moisture from the water cartridge to manage that humidity. Push button controls on the face allow you to set the desired humidity.
The processor is also equipped with an alarm system. Not for antitheft (although that would be cool), but more to alert you when something in the humidor is awry. If the batteries or the water is running low, a beeping sound will occur and the digital display on the unit will read H2O, meaning more water is needed, or LO, indicating low batteries. If you're the type of person who still gets nervous over battery life, there is an adapter for outlet power.
The Cigar Oasis Ultra will be available in mid-October at retail tobacco stores with a suggested price of $89.
