C.A.O. Embarks on Rock N Rolled Tour

C.A.O. is hitting the road and ready to rock. The cigar manufacturer is about to launch the C.A.O. Rock N Rolled Tour, a nine-city U.S. tour of retail tobacco stores.

The tour will feature special offers on C.A.O. cigars, apparel, accessories, and even guitars. Attendees can also preview the C.A.O. Lx2 brand, which won't be released until mid-November. C.A.O director of lifestyle marketing Jon Huber will be hosting each event.

"The rock 'n roll attitude, if you will, has always been part and parcel to the C.A.O. brand image," said Huber.

C.A.O. is no stranger to the rock industry. In 2005, C.A.O worked with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee to develop a special-edition cigar for the "Red White and Crüe" Tour. C.A.O. also cohosted a party at the 2008 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailer that featured Lynyrd Skynyrd.

C.A.O wants to use its "rock n' roll" edge to give smokers an event that strays from the ordinary. "We believe the whole concept of the retail tobacconist in-store event is growing tired and stale, and we want to interject some fun back into the equation," said Huber.

The C.A.O. Rock N Rolled Tour begins October 7 at the Party Source in Bellevue, Kentucky and concludes October 30 in Londonderry, New Hampshire, at Twins Smoke Shop. Other events will take place in Chesapeake, Virginia; Richmond, Virginia; Franklin, Tennessee; Irving, Texas; Arlington, Texas; Austin, Texas, and New York City.
