Autumn Davidoffs
Gregory Mottola
Posted: November 12, 2009
Davidoff cigar fans might remember seeing some batches with wrappers that were uncharacteristically dark and unusually reddish in hue back in the mid-1990s, then again briefly in 2002. That was Davidoff's extremely limited Colorado Claro edition, a small production run of cigars made with sun-grown, Connecticut-seed Ecuadoran wrappers. Colorado Claro is back, and, of course, is highly limited.
The genetic structure of the seed used for this wrapper produces lower yields, and of that yield, even fewer leaves of the harvest meet Davidoff's quality standards.
The Colorado Claro is one of two new releases for Davidoff this season. For more information on the cigars, see the current Cigar Insider.
