Arganese Modifies Brand Portfolio
David Savona
Posted: March 10, 2008
The Arganese cigar brand is being streamlined. The brand's original, somewhat confusing practice of having each wrapper style available in varying strength levels is being abandoned for a more traditional style.
Previously, every cigar made by Arganese was available in three wrapper varieties (Connecticut shade, Nicaraguan and Maduro) and three strength levels: Ambassador, the most mild; Chairman, which was in the middle; and Presidente, the company's most robust selection. That meant an Arganese Robusto, for example, could be had in nine varieties, which was ultimately confusing for consumers and made it difficult for them to purchase precisely the same cigar they had before.
