Alejandro Robaina's sun-kissed face has been a familiar sight in the pages of Cigar Aficionado over the years. European editor and lead Cuban cigar writer James Suckling has visited the legend's tobacco plantation in Pinar del Río countless times. Here we have collected a sample of our favorites from over the years to honor Robaina's death on April 17 at age 91.
An Interview with Alejandro Robaina In 2006, Cigar Aficionado visited Robaina and his grandson Hiroshi at their Cuban finca for a wide-ranging interview about growing tobacco.
