Toranõs on New Tour
David Savona
Posted: March 9, 2010
Carlos and Charlie Toraño, the father-son-team behind the Carlos Toraño cigar brands that are made in Central America, have taken to the road again, and have a new cigar specially crafted for their in-store events.
The Roots Run Deep Tour began on February 26, in Dallas. The Carlos Toraño Tour 2010 cigar will be rolled specifically for these events by Felipe Sosa, a roller with 10 years' experience. Boxes of the cigars will also be sold only at retail shops that host an event. The 2010 cigar is a Churchill, measuring seven inches by 48 ring. The cigars come in cedar boxes of 20, with the name of the participating tobacconist stamped onto the lid.
The Toraños toured the country last year, averaging more than 100 guests at each of the 30-plus events they did in 2009. Charlie Toraño, president of the company, called it "our most successful promotional campaign ever."
