Road Trip to the Big Smoke
Posted: April 2, 2009
Is there anything more fun than a group of friends packed into a car, blasting their favorite tunes while enjoying the freedom of the open road? Only if you add cigars, beer, food, casino vouchers and a designated driver to the equation, and replace the cramped car with a coach bus.
Two Connecticut retailers, Fire N Smoke of Southington, and Joe's Cigar Shop of Rocky Hill, have combined efforts and organized a coach bus that will transport cigar lovers to the April 18 Big Smoke to be held at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.
The package includes a ticket to the Big Smoke, food and drinks during the voyage and will give riders a Foxwoods food voucher as well as a voucher to play Keno in the casino.
The Cigar Agency, a distributor of cigars, and Rocky Patel Premium Cigars Inc., are sponsoring the bus and providing the smokes for the group.
"We are making it an all day thing," said Chris Jones, co-owner of Fire N Smoke. "We are going to be giving the group T-shirts, so we should be easy to spot as well."
The bus is close to being sold out, but tickets are still available.
