Swedish Match Buys Belgian Cigar Company

Stockholm-based Swedish Match AB, one of the world's largest cigarmakers, announced in mid-June a deal to purchase 100 percent of Belgian cigarmaker Bogaert Cigars for an undisclosed sum.
A privately owned company in business since 1937, Bogaert produces machine-made cigars and cigarillos under the brand names Bogart and Hollandia as well as private-label brands. The company produces cigars in Belgium and Indonesia.
