H. Upmann Taco Imperialés

The H. Upmann Tacos Imperialés is the cigar found in one of the most recent limited-edition humidors released by Habanos S.A. The beautifully crafted box, called the H. Upmann Ancient Humidor, honors the history of German banker and cigar connoisseur Herman Upmann, who moved to Havana in 1844 and established dual professions as both banker and cigarmaker. The humidor's design is modeled after an antique humidor owned by famous cigar collector Valerio Cornale. Made by Cuban artisan Ernesto Aguilera Reina, the humidor exhibits intricate inlays made from mahogany and cedar.

Like most cigars that come in limited-edition humidors, the Taco Imperialés is a special size not found in the normal factory portfolio. It measures 6 1/2 inches by 49 ring. Each humidor holds 50 cigars. Only 200 humidors were produced. According to Habanos, all the tobacco used to make this cigar come from Cuba's Vuelto Abajo growing region.
