Montecristo Petit Edmundos

Posted: January 17, 2007
The Montecristo Edmundo now has a little brother -- the Petit Edmundo.
Measuring 4 1/3 inches by 52 ring gauge, the Petit Edmundo is precisely one inch shorter than the Edmundo, but has the same thickness. The new cigar is categorized as a petit robusto, an uncommon Cuban cigar size. Before the release of the Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto in 2004, the size didn't exist.
The new Montecristo comes in hinged, unvarnished brooch boxes of 25 identical to the Edmundo's box, only smaller. Boxes of 25 retail for £254 (about $490) in the United Kingdom. The Petit Edmundo also comes in boxes of 10 for £104 (about $200), and individual cigars retail for £10.40 (about $20) each. Later this year, the Petit Edmundo will be available individually tubed in three-packs.
