Saint Luis Rey Brand Expanded

Gregory Mottola
Posted: December 20, 2006

Altadis U.S.A. Inc. has added the Serie G Double Maduro line to its Saint Luis Rey brand. The new cigar is made in Honduras at the Flor de Copan factory and combines a dark Connecticut-broadleaf wrapper over a binder made of the same leaf. The filler tobaccos are Nicaraguan.

According to Janelle Rosenfeld, vice president of advertising for Altadis, the G in Serie G stands for Gigante, Gordo, Grande or any other word signifying prodigious size.
