A single match is all you need to light a cigar, but when you want to quickly toast multiple smokes, more power is best. Whether you are lighting up with a group of friends while watching a game, hosting poker night or attending your weekly herf, Vector's Tri-Pump tabletop lighter is ideal for those occasions when many cigars need to be lit in succession.
The Tri-Pump is the big brother to Vector's single-flame Megapump, both of which are inspired by the look of an old-fashioned oil lamp. Standing a little taller than five inches, the Tri-Pump's unique design is curiously attractive and sure to catch the eye of onlookers. When its three torch flames are lit, the lighter resembles a blowtorch, giving the Tri-Pump a certain je ne sais quoi.
Constructed entirely out of metal, the Tri-Pump sports a large butane reserve (but unfortunately no fuel window) that the company says is good for 180 to 200 lights that last 10 to 15 seconds. A sturdy grip places your thumb in the perfect spot to push the wheel ignition that controls the three torch flames.
Under the base is a handy fuel-adjustment valve, and we found the Tri-Pump worked best when it was turned to either three-quarters or fully open.
The Tri-Pump is meant for a sedentary life atop an end table, desk or bar, but with its windproof flame, the occasional excursion to an outdoor smoking spot such as a patio or backyard area is another possibility.
Available in many finishes, including chrome satin (pictured), nickel satin, gunmetal satin, polished chrome and black matte, the Tri-Pump retails for $130. It can be purchased directly through Vector's website or at cigar shops nationwide.
