The Savoy Travel Humidor

Easy travel arrangements are always appealing. People have gladly traded long lines at the airport for a couple mouse clicks online. Lightweight travel clothing is tailored for comfort and utilizes high-tech fabric that can adjust to various climates and temperatures.

However, we still have not mastered the intricate art of moving a bag from one place to another. The thought of having your precious cigars rot at a luggage depot in some third-world country has forced many an aficionado to take matters into his own hands, packing cigars in his carry-on or breast pocket. The Savoy Travel humidor from Ashton Distributors and Holt's Cigar Co. is a simple suitcase for your smokes that can mitigate the load of the weary traveler and protect his cigars going en route. It doesn't look as if smoking will be brought on board anytime soon, but staying close to your smokes guarantees a warm reception upon landing.

A mini-version of the larger Ashton Travel humidor, the Savoy comes in two sizes. The small version measures a compact 9 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches and the large is 10 1/2 by 9 3/4 inches. Either can fit comfortably into a carry-on or overnight bag; the small size can nestle into one of the many pockets in your travel coat. Crafted in genuine leather, the case has a simple design.

The large humidor is available in black or tan leather; the small comes only in black. The large holds 15 to 20 Churchill-sized cigars and the small can store up to 10.

The Savoy Travel Humidor retails for $85 for the large size and $60 for the small and is available at retail tobacconists. Call Ashton Distributors at 800-523-1641 for more information.
