Powerful things come in small packages with the new Apex lighter from Prometheus International Inc. Only 3.2 inches long, an inch wide and a half-inch across, this slimmed-down lighter easily fits into the palm of your hand or jacket pocket and won't weigh you down.
With a smooth click of the button, the top of the lighter retracts to the hissing blast of a blue butane "jet turbo laser" flame worthy of Luke Skywalker's light saber. The flame is wind-resistant -- strong enough to fight off a strong gust while you're out enjoying your smoke on the golf course.
The polished metal construction comes in nickel, gun metal or chrome and is equipped with a fuel monitoring window, giving the lighter an attractive look. It retails for $59.95, and can be purchased at most fine tobacco and accessory stores.
