PDR Celebrates 10 Years with Special Cigar

It's been a decade since PDR produced its first cigars in the Dominican Republic, and brand owner Abe Flores, along with his partner Luis Rodriguez, have marked the occasion with the Flores y Rodriguez Reserva Limitada.

Made at the PDR Cigars Factory in the Dominican Republic, the new brand will debut this summer at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers trade show in Las Vegas.

The cigar is rolled with an Ecuador Havana wrapper, olor binder and a filler blend of Dominican piloto and Nicaraguan tobacco from the Jalapa Valley. It comes in three sizes: Robusto at 5 inches by 52 ring; Grand Toro at 6 by 54; and Wide Churchill at 5 1/8 by 58. The cigars are set to retail for $9, $10 and $11, respectively.

Cigars produced by PDR have performed well in both Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider tastings. Click here to read more PDR ratings and tasting notes. May 20, 2014 5:22pm ET
Well at least they didn't blatantly copy anyone with their band

Dear sirs,
Even with the CHEAP copy of a Cuban Cigar, It will not make the Cigar P.D.R. taste any better.

wow...just from looking at the picture I immediately thought Ramon Allones was launching a new cigar before I read the article! May 28, 2014 9:53pm ET
Gentleman, you are deadly wrong about PDR cigars. Thanks god, they are not expensive, so far, but they are extremely well tasted cigars. I have recently bought the boxes of Oscuro and Reserva Limitada. I do it rarely and only when the cigar deserves it, not to mention the exceptional price.

I'm not saying If the P.D.A.'s are bad or good,What I'm saying Is that they should stop
copying and do things on their own ,for once,
Instead of useing Cuban names just to sell.
