Alec Bradley Cigar Co. has scheduled the release of its newest line of cigars: Family Blend The Lineage.

The line, according to the company, is dedicated to family. Founder Alan Rubin's two sons Alec and Bradley were four and one years old, respectively, when he started the company in 1996. Now he's releasing Family Blend The Lineage to commemorate the fact that both boys are of legal age to smoke cigars.

Rubin said the blend has a Honduran wrapper from the Trojes region, a Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Lineage, which is being rolled at Raices Cubanas in Honduras, comes in six sizes: Robusto at 5 1/4 inches by 52 ring gauge; Toro at 6 by 53; Torpedo at 6 1/8 by 52; Gordo at 6 by 60; 665 at 6 1/2 by 65; and 770 at 7 inches by 70 ring.

Sizes for The Lineage include a 7 inch by 70 ring gauge format, the first 70 ring gauge cigar ever offered by Alec Bradley.

This is the first 70 ring gauge cigar from Alec Bradley Cigar Co., and Rubin says it's hotly requested. "We're missing out on this market. If I'm not listening to what the consumers are telling me, what am I doing?"

The line will retail for between $6.75 and $9, and is expected to arrive on shelves by the end of May.
