Nat Sherman Shipping Super Lanceros Soon

Posted: January 9, 2014
New York City cigar institution Nat Sherman International Inc. will be adding a Super Lancero size to three of its existing brands.
These limited smokes are made in the Dominican Republic at the Quesada Factory (formerly MATASA) and will be available in the Sterling, 1930 Selection and Timeless Collection brands. The cigars measure 8 inches by 38 ring, half an inch longer than the classic Cuban Laguito No. 1.
Limited productions of odd sizes can cause a lot of problems in factories, so executive vice president William Sherman explains that the company has "one expert team in the factory that is carefully bunching and rolling these cigars to ensure they'll draw and burn perfectly."

Featuring a Dominican binder and filler, Nat Sherman Sterling is covered by Connecticut wrapper leaf grown in Ecuador. According to the company, some of the tobaccos inside the Sterling line have been aged up to ten years.
Nat Sherman 1930 Selection, which is named for the company's founding year, is a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, with a Dominican binder and wrapper.
Timeless Collection, a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos with a Honduran wrapper, was released in 2011. The No. 2 won the distinction of No. 10 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2012 and the Divino placed at No. 20 for 2013.
Super Lanceros will come packed in boxes of 10. The Timeless has a suggested price of $11 per cigar, the 1930 is suggested at $15 and the Sterling Super Lancero is set for $18 a stick. They begin shipping next week, and will be available in limited quantities throughout the year.
