Padrón 1926 Serie Cigars Offered in Four-Packs
Posted: June 21, 2013
By the end of July, Padrón's 1926 Serie cigars will be available in prepackaged, easy-to-carry boxes of four. Unlike the varnished wood boxes that Padróns are normally packaged in, these thick-ply, paper containers are lighter in weight for less cumbersome transport.
Each pack comes in four different sizes: The No. 1 (6 3/4 inches by 54 ring gauge), the No. 9 (5 1/4 inches by 56 ring), the No. 2 (5 1/2 inches by 52 ring) and the No. 6 (4 3/4 inches by 50 ring). It should be noted that these are not sampler packs of four different sizes, but rather, each box uniformly contains four of the same cigar.
The four-packs are available in both natural or maduro wrappers. Prices will vary from state to state, but given the suggested retail price of single sticks from this series, expect the four-packs to range in price somewhere from $52 to $84 each.
Crafted with signature box-pressing, Padrón 1926 Serie cigars are made in Nicaragua and contain only Nicaraguan tobacco. In addition to achieving consistently stellar scores in Cigar Aficionado, cigars from the 1926 Serie have also won Cigar of the Year status on more than one occasion, including the No. 9, which took the award in 2007.
