Fuente-Rolled God of Fire 2013 Now Shipping
Posted: April 30, 2013
The newest God of Fire cigars from Prometheus International Inc. and Arturo Fuente are now on their way to cigar shops across the country.
According to Keith Park, owner of the company and the God of Fire brand, about 500 boxes each of the Fuente-made cigars are being shipped. Now in its ninth year, each release of God of Fire is rolled by the Fuente family at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic and then aged in the factory's storing room for a time before being released. In addition to an elaborate band that features the Greek titan Prometheus, each cigar also has a secondary band designating the year the cigar was rolled.
This year, Park is releasing two lines of cigars that he says have been aging for three years: God of Fire by Don Carlos 2010 and God of Fire by Carlito 2010, and another line that has been aged for two years, God of Fire Serie B 2011.
God of Fire by Don Carlos 2010 sports an Ecuadoran-sungrown wrapper with an all-Dominican filler and binder. It comes in three sizes: Robusto, 5 1/4 inches by 50 ring gauge; Robusto Gordo, 5 1/2 by 54 and Toro, 6 by 50.
Additionally, God of Fire by Carlito 2010, which uses a Cameroon wrapper to cover a Dominican binder and filler, will be shipped in four sizes. They are Double Robusto, which measures 5 3/4 inches by 52 ring; Piramide, 6 3/8 by 52; Churchill, a traditional 7 inches by 48 ring; and Double Corona 7 5/8 by 49.
The God of Fire Serie B line comes in four sizes, three of which are found in the Carlos and Carlito line: Robusto, Robusto Gordo, Double Robusto. The Robusto and Robusto Gordo are again an all-Dominican blend with an Ecuadoran-sungrown cover. However, the Dominican tobaccos used in the blend of the Double Robusto and the fourth size in the Serie B line, a 6 inch by 56 Gran Toro, are wrapped by Connecticut broadleaf maduro leaf.
The God of Fire cigars, which range in price from $19.95 to $21, are available at participating God of Fire retailers and are ready to be smoked now.
