New Blends on the Way from Martin Family of Cigars

Martin Family of Cigars will be expanding this spring with a regular production line and a limited release.
First in line for distribution will be the Pedro Martin Limited Edition, a Nicaraguan puro with tobacco procured from leaf grower and agricultural conglomerate Aganorsa (Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A.). It has a 7-year-old corojo wrapper that brand owner Maria Martin says she has been attempting to find the perfect blend for since 2011. The cigar will only come in one size, a 6 inch by 52 ring Toro, and it will sell for about $14.50 per stick.
Following the Limited Edition, the upcoming Pedro Martin Casa Martin will use Nicaraguan tobacco from Aganorsa, but will feature a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper. “This line was originally my father’s Pedro Martin blend and cigar,” says brand owner Maria Martin. “It was originally made in the Canary Islands by Tropical Tobacco.”
Casa Martin comes in four sizes: a 7 inch by 70 ring Grandisimo, the 6 by 60 Grande, Toro at 6 by 52, and Robusto at 4 1/2 by 48. They will retail for between $7.30 and $9.00 per stick. Both Casa Martin and Limited Edition are being made at the TABSA factory in Nicaragua. Martin added that the Pedro Martin M line will be receiving a new 7 by 70 size for full production.
