Virtual Cigar Hangout This Saturday

Posted: December 21, 2012
In this day of tough anti-smoking regulations, it can be hard to find a legal place to gather with friends, pour an adult beverage and light up a great cigar. There is one way to skirt the law, though, and all you need is an Internet connection.
Barry Kamen, perhaps better known by his handle, DocBarry, has decided to host a virtual cigar hangout this Saturday, beginning around 5 p.m. eastern standard time, right here on the CigarAficionado.com forums.
"There's no cigar lounge in my area," said Kamen, who lives in Dutchess County, New York. "And I used to love going to the lounge, especially around Christmas, to be with the guys and enjoy a cigar." A staple on the CigarAficionado.com forums—his first post was in 1998—Kamen has been enjoying cigars for around 50 years. His "Today's Smoke" thread is the most popular and consistent topic on the forums.
To join in Kamen, who plans to smoke a Fuente Fuente OpusX Super Belicoso with a Tanqueray Martini, one only needs to be a member of the CigarAficionado.com forums. While no topic is taboo, Kamen doesn't plan to try and talk politics or religion, but he, being a real-life doctor, said he might encourage members to get a flu shot.

A fantastic idea!
I will virtually support while I join my friends locally in Columbus, OH and share a cigar, several artisanal handmake cocktails & toast to his good health and continue the tradition
