Limited-Edition Room 101 OSOK for New York City

It seems there is one last bullet left in the Room 101 OSOK barrel after all.
Matt Booth, the Los Angeles jeweler turned cigarmaker who created the Room 101 brand and its highly praised limited release OSOK (“One Shot, One Kill”), has announced a special New York City edition: the OSOK 212. Only available at the Cigar Inn, home of the only branded Cigar Aficionado lounge and humidor, the 212, a nod to the Manhattan area code, comes in four formats—two diademas and two parejos.
Fans of the original OSOK release will recognize not only the 212 blend, which is the same as the original OSOK, but also the two diademas, as they made up two-thirds of the original OSOK line. They are the Chingon, an 8 by 60 ring cigar that retails for $16.50 and was rated 93 points in the Cigar Insider, and the Filero, a 4 1/2 inch by 52 ring smoke that was rated 87 points and sells for $12.95. The two new parejos are the Chingonazo, a 6 by 60 ring cigar that is priced at $15, and the 6 1/4 inch by 54 ring Pedaso, which sells for $14.
The 212 editions of OSOKs, like the original, were made by one roller at Tabacos Rancho Jamastran and are comprised of the same blend: an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, Honduran binders, and a mix of Honduran and Dominican fillers.
According to Billy Fakih, one of three brothers who owns the Cigar Inn, only 100 boxes of each size were produced, with 10 cigars to a box. And of those 400 boxes, he estimates that there are only about 40 left.
While the 212 cigars come individually wrapped in tissue and paper like the original OSOK, there is a secondary foot band that reads “212” on the top and “One Shot, One Kill. Cigar Inn” on the side. Additionally, the 212 boxes sport a distinct New York City theme as they feature a large, screen-printed image of the Empire State Building.
“We wanted to do something special for New York,” said Booth. “I think we’ve done just that with the OSOK 212 edition.”
