Drew Estate Announces Management Changes
Posted: August 14, 2012
Drew Estate, the makers of Liga Privada and Undercrown premium cigars as well as ACID, a popular brand of infused cigars, has announced two moves within its managerial team.
Michael Cellucci, who joined the company in 2000, has been named the new president. Cellucci will oversee day-to-day operations and look to bring Drew Estate into new markets and product segments.
Steve Saka, formerly the president, is now the chief executive officer of the company. Saka plans to work more with developing the company’s premium handmade cigar brands while also overseeing the operation of Drew Estate’s tobacco.
“These are two of the smartest guys I know,” said Jonathan Drew, co-founder of Drew Estate, in a press release. “Both are honest, knockaround guys that embody the ethos of Drew Estate’s ‘teamwork wins’ mentality and to be standard bearers for our company’s ‘The Rebirth of Cigars’ mantra. Together they are like the perfect tag team to keep us on point and kicking ass.”
Previously, Cellucci worked with Drew Estate in its sale department, working his way up the ladder to become vice president of sales in 2007. Saka had been serving as president of Drew Estate since 2005.
Drew Estate was created in 1995 by Drew and Marvin Samel. To read more about the company, click here.
