Fuente, Guayabera Lady Team Up for Charity
Posted: August 13, 2012
Berta Bravo, better known as The Guayabera Lady, is joining forces with Carlos Fuente Jr. for a night of fun, food, cigars and drinks—all in the name of charity.
The event, dubbed Fuente’s Havana Nights: A Family Affair, will be held in Miami on August 25. The event will be catered by CaperDiem and Sushi Sake, with an open bar being provided by Bacardi and Coca Cola. Guests will get the chance to listen to the music of Jenny Love and DJ Gabe, or they can opt to play a game of dominoes on tables provided by Family Domino Tables. Most importantly, Fuente will be passing out cigars and proceeds will benefit the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.
Industry photographer Manny Iriarte will be auctioning off some unique Fuente-brand photographs as well as a signed image of Cynthia Fuente-Suarez.
Only 300 tickets are being sold for the event, at $75 apiece. To purchase a ticket, contact Bravo by phone at 786-287-6664 or her email address, email@example.com. You can also buy tickets visiting www.ticketriver.com and searching for “Fuente’s Havana Nights”.
In 2001, the Fuente and J. C. Newman cigar families created the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create meaningful change to the communities of the Dominican Republic through education, health care and the development of eco-friendly business ventures.
Cigar Family Charitable Foundation's major project is a 23-acre community complex located in the Bonao tobacco-growing region of the Dominican Republic. Well over 5,000 families enjoy the complex's amenities, which include a school, medical and dental clinic, sports and recreation facilities, and an organic farm and fishery. In addition, the United Nations has praised the complex as a model of corporate social responsibility.
