Zino Platinum Turns 10, Celebrates with Urban Art

The Zino Platinum series of cigars turns 10 years old this year and brand-owner Davidoff of Geneva is commemorating the event with a special, limited-edition cigar packaged in edgy, eye-catching boxes designed by urban artist collective UR New York. The art project is called “The Make” and is a series of boxes adorned in graffiti prints stylized to represent New York City’s street art and, at the same time, the spirit of Zino Platinum.

“The artwork will adorn four different collector’s edition boxes,” said Richard Krutick, Davidoff’s head of marketing. “The collection is inspired by the innovators, the risk takers, the mavericks—those who capture the spirit of Zino Platinum.”

Each box will hold ten 5 1/2 inch by 60 ring gauge cigars. Dubbed the Zino Platinum Ten Toro X, the thick smokes feature a Nicaraguan wrapper, Dominican binder and a blend of Peruvian and Dominican tobacco.
