Last Chance to Sign Petition to Protect Premium Cigars
Andrew Nagy
Posted: May 10, 2012
If you haven’t signed the Cigar Rights of America and the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association online petition to protect premium cigars from government regulation, you better act fast: tomorrow’s the last day you can help.
Last month, the pro-cigar rights advocacy groups submitted a formal petition to the White House’s “We the People” Internet petition website that called upon the Obama Administration to stop the Food and Drug Administration from regulating the cigar industry. You can read the full text, and sign the petition, here.
In order for the Obama Administration to review the petition, 25,000 signatures needed to be collected by May 11. The petition crossed that threshold in only 15 days, sending a strong message to lawmakers in Washington.
As of right now, 28,338 have been collected; but like most protests, the more, the better.

I agree Tom. There's nothing I enjoy more than sitting in my backyard and smoking the sun down with a nice Partagas. Just one more freedom we are losing due to corporate and government greed.

The government does not need to regulate the cigar industry.
