New Role for La Gloria Cubana's Michael Giannini

Michael Giannini, who has spearheaded the creation of innovative new La Gloria Cubana cigars such as the Artesanos de Obeliscos (pictured) has been promoted to a larger role at General Cigar Co. Giannini, a 30-year-veteran of the cigar industry, will now be reponsible for producing new products from General's entire cigar portfolio.
"I'm the guy who comes up with the concepts--I get to be a kid in a candy store," said Giannini in an exclusive interview with Cigar Insider.
Giannini has served in various roles throuhout his three decades in cigars, first as a cigar store clerk and later as a sales manager and then director of marketing for the La Gloria Cubana brand.
