2012 Big Smoke Dates Announced
Andrew Nagy
Posted: January 19, 2012
Mark your calendars, alert your friends and notify your loved ones—Cigar Aficionado’s Big Smoke dates for 2012 have been set.
This
year’s Big Smoke Las Vegas weekend, now in its 17th year, is scheduled
for November 9 to 11, with tickets going on sale March 15. The format
will stay the same as in year’s past—Big Smoke evenings scheduled
for Friday and Saturday as well as cigar and lifestyle educational
seminars on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
For
the first time since 2005, though, the venue for the largest cigar
celebration in the world is changing. This year’s party will occur at
The Mirage Resort and Casino.
In
addition to fine dining, shopping and nightlife, The Mirage is home to
one of the finest cigar bars in Las Vegas: Rhumbar. Opened in 2009,
Rhumbar has quickly become a prime destination for those attending the
Big Smoke Las Vegas weekend. With more than 20 brands of cigars and
about 40 brands of high-end rum for sale (not to mention specialty
cocktails), it’s easy to understand why Rhumbar is so popular.
For
those on the East Coast there is Big Smoke New York, which will take
place on November 29 at Pier 92, the premier events center located on
the Hudson River. Tickets for the event go on sale April 15.

Got it down! I wonder why the change? I loved the Venetian. I like the dates though.....Halloween weekend was a little weird last year.

Bummer about the move, I was just getting used to the Venetian and all its hot tubs have to offer. Halloween? Hottubs? Cigars? Can there be too much good in one weekend?
