Lotus Cut 100 Triad Cigar Cutter

Posted: September 15, 2011
If
options are what you want in a cigar cutter, consider the Cut 100 Triad
from Lotus, which features two retractable punches and a single-blade
guillotine in one stylish unit.
The
6mm and 8mm punches extend opposite each other from the main body of
the cutter via spring-loaded sliders controlled by the push of a thumb.
Each slider runs along a slot that is shaped so the mechanism can be
locked into place, preventing the punch from retracting unexpectedly
while cutting your cigar.
A
push of the trigger on the side of the main body extends the
single-blade guillotine, which is capable of cutting cigars up to 54
ring gauge. Though there is some play in the guillotine when it is
extracted, the 420JT stainless steel (same as the punches) blade still
offers a swift cut.
The
Cut 100 Triad comes in three finishes—black (pictured), gunmetal and
brushed silver—and is backed by a lifetime warranty from the company. In
addition, the cutter comes packaged in a gift box, and a free cutter
pouch is available from Lotus by mail.
The Cut 100 Triad is available at local tobacconists (check www.integral-style.com) for $34.95.

Im not to game on the single blade guillitines... always seem to want to push the cap rather than cut... no "shearing" action. How does this cutter perform?

Not quite my style, and as noted above, I think this cutter being a single-blade is unfortunate.

Great tool and cutter! The only drawback is this since this is a single-blade guillotine and not extremely sharp, i've had a few crush-cuts. I tend to use the pnch on this more and use a Xicar for blade cuts.
