Home of Cigar Aficionado Lounge Commissions Tribute Mural

The Cigar Inn in Manhattan, home of the only Cigar Aficionado
Lounge in the world, is thanking its most loyal patrons in style by
immortalizing them in an expansive mural and throwing a cigar party on
October 20 for its unveiling.
The
mural, which is being painted by New York-based artist Elena Yakovleva,
will feature the faces of about 200 of Cigar Inn's more familiar
customers and cover approximately 320 square feet of wall space within
the store, located on 2nd Avenue between East 53rd and 54th streets.
"It's
a project that been going on for six months now," said Gus Fakih, who
owns the store along with his two brothers, Billy and Bass.
While
a beautiful mural is in itself a touching gesture, the Fakih brothers
wanted to do more, so they reached out to Guillermo León, owner of of La
Aurora S.A.
For
the October 20th reveal party, La Aurora has rolled a special maduro
version of its limited-edition Aurora Excepcionales La Isla Manhattan
cigar, a Dominican puro made exclusively for Manhattan tobacconists. The cigar is six inches long by 54 ring gauge.
While
admission to the party is free, in order to receive a free box of La
Isla Manhattans, attendees will need to first purchase a box of La
Aurora or Nestor Miranda cigars.
The October 20 party starts at 7 p.m. and as with every Cigar Inn event, will feature hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
