Cigar Insider Rates Fausto by Tatuaje

Posted: August 23, 2011
Billed as one of the most full-bodied brands in the Tatuaje portfolio, Fausto has been shipping to retail shops nationwide since it debuted at July's IPCPR trade show, and today's Cigar Insider rated the entire line.
Fausto started as a private blend for a Hawaiian retailer but evolved into a full commercial line this summer, taking its name from a discontinued vintage Cuban cigar brand.
The horned image of Mephistopheles burned into the cabinet's lid echoes the original box art and references the tale of Dr. Faustus, an ambitious scholar who sold his soul to the devil.
The bands adorning each cigar are reminiscent of the long retired "white rose" design found on vintage Dunhill Cuban cigars, though the color scheme has been altered to suit the personality of the new brand.
Can Fausto conjure as much power as it promises? Find out in today's Cigar Insider.
