Sam Leccia Returning to Cigar Business
David Savona
Posted: May 26, 2011
Sam Leccia, long the face in NUb and Cain cigar ads, has returned to the premium cigar business. Leccia has created the Sam Leccia Cigar Co., and its first smoke, known as Debut, will be on display at the July IPCPR.
Made from Nicaraguan, Honduran, Ecuadoran and Dominican cigar tobaccos, Debut will come in three sizes: Church (7 by 60), Figurado (6 1/2 by 52) and Double Rob (5 by 60).
Leccia has been out of the cigar industry since the end of 2010, when he left Oliva Cigar Co.

I would hardly call an announcement "hype".

I like Sam's cigars, both Nub and Cain. I think does have some really good ideas as far as cigars. I just don't care for his rebel "I'm so cool style". He and Pete Johnson should have a showdown on who's the coolest!

I find it slightly ironic that his first cigar with his own company be called "debut" let's hope it's actually worth all the hype.
