C.A.O. La Traviata Maduro Brand Expanded

The C.A.O. La Traviata Maduro brand will soon have a pair of new sizes. C.A.O. is introducing a pair of cigars to its La Traviata Maduro line: The La Traviata Maduro Favorito (a figurado measuring 5 1/2 inches by 52 ring) and Animado (a lonsdale measuring 5 5/8 by 46) are slated to reach cigar stores by the end of this month.
"These
two new cigars complete the line," said Ed McKenna, senior brand
manager of C.A.O. "The addition of these two frontmarks is significant
in that we now offer the entire La Traviata line in natural and maduro
wrappers." He said the company is also exploring the addition of another
La Traviata by year's end.
All C.A.O. La Traviata cigars are made in
Estelí, Nicaragua. The maduro version is crafted from a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan
tobaccos, a Cameroon binder and a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. The
C.A.O. La Traviata Maduro Intrépido (a Churchill size) scored 89 points
in the February Cigar Aficionado.
For much more on what's new at C.A.O.
see next week's Cigar Insider.
Note: The original version of this story mistakenly referred to the Favorito as a robusto.
