Get a Free Cigar from Nestor Miranda
David Savona
Posted: April 20, 2011
Everybody loves a free cigar. On Friday May 6, you can get a free smoke—after buying one of your own—with a visit to selected cigar shops.
The event is called National Nestor Miranda Cigar Day, and on May 6 cigar smokers who buy a cigar from one of Miami Cigar & Co.'s authorized Nestor Miranda retailers will receive a free Nestor Miranda Collection Robusto Grande, a 5 1/2 by 54 cigar that scored 90 points in a March Cigar Insider taste test. The smoke is wrapped in Nicaraguan leaf, with an interior blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. It's made in Nicaragua by My Father Cigars.
The smoke comes gratis from Miranda's company Miami Cigar, the distributors of several cigar brands, including Nestor Miranda and Aurora. The company stresses that the smoker can purchase any cigar to qualify for the free smoke (it doesn't have to be one distributed by the company). The giveaway will last until supplies run out.
You can find a participating retailer at www.miamicigarcompany.com/.

I don’t know whether to believe these promotions. I went to West Coast Cigars in San Jose California for a similar promotion on 4/30/2010 and asked the guy if I could get the buy one get the Aurora 107 free; he was rude and said you want a cigar you have to buy it. The Cigar Shop was nice and had a ton of other cigars. I ended up buying a few single cigars, great place but horrible service.

Yeah, I guess in the end it's up to the individual store to honor the deal. I mean, it's one cigar, so if we don't get it, it's not the end of the world.

Great video. I really enjoy that part of Cuba.

its up to the individual stores i guess, but if they're getting extra traffic, it would be smart to honor it. thats the difference between good shops and greedy shops who dont care

Cigar Aficando!!! The website is saying April 30th for the event. Can you please confirm the date.

Gentlemen, my contact at Miami Cigar confirmed that the event date is May 6 as written in the article.
The April 30th date seen at the Miami Cigar website was from an article that was two years old. My source said they have deleted that article so that there would be no more confusion.

According to the website in this article, the free cigar day is Friday, June 12, not May 6. However, June 12 is a Sunday, so hopefully the company can clear up the real day that we can get a free cigar. I emailed them and am awaiting a response.
