Andrew Nagy
Posted: March 10, 2011
Tickets went on sale today for the second Nicaraguan Cigar Festival, an event that celebrates the country's cigars, tobacco and culture.
This year's festival runs April 5 to 8 and will start with a welcome cocktail dinner in the capital of Managua. Festival highlights include lunching in the tobacco fields of Jalapa, touring Estelí, Granada and even visiting a volcano, all while smoking premium cigars.
The festival was established by the Nicaraguan Guilders Association, which was formed in 2007 and is comprised of the following: Padrón Cigars; Joya de Nicaragua; Placensia Tobaccos; Oliva Cigar Family; My Father Cigars (Pepin Garcia); Rocky Patel (Tabacalera Villa Cuba, S.A); Scandinavian Tobacco Group; N.A.C.S.A; AJ Fernandez Cigars; San Rafael Tobaccos; GK; and Drew Estate Tobacco Co.
