Cigars for a Special Cause

On January 29, cigar smokers in Florida can light up a fine smoke to help out a little girl in need. The evening is dedicated to Teagen Marti, a 13-year-old girl who nearly died after a 100 foot fall from a ride at a Wisconsin amusement park this summer. The accident left her paralyzed.
The event, which will be held at Smoke on the Water in Weston, Florida, features the cigars of EO brands, which include 601 and Murcielago, smokes that have done quite well in Cigar Aficionado taste tests. The very reasonable $15 admission covers wine, beer, food, appetizers and desert. There will also be a silent auction (mostly with cigar items) and all all proceeds will go directly to Miracle 4 Teagan, the charity organized to help out Ms. Marti.
“Our goal with this fundraiser is to be able to get Teagan a wheelchair van so she doesn't have to rely on the unreliable service that is provided to her,” said Alan Weiser, a neighbor of who is helping organize the event. “This will also allow her to leave her home to go anywhere else that she wants because with the service that she has, she can only go to rehab and hospitals.”
For information on attending, or how you can help Teagan, contact Alan Weiser at Aweiser904@aol.com.
