Cuban Regionals Hit Asia/Pacific Region

If you've ever wondered what a Cuban Juan Lopez would taste like in a pyramid shape, The Pacific Cigar Co., official distributor of Cuban cigars for the Asia/Pacific region, can answer that question for you. Pacific Cigar has received its first shipment of the Juan Lopez Selección No. 4 Regional Edition cigars and officially released them today.
Like the iconic Montecristo No. 2, this Juan Lopez is a 6 1/8 inch by 52 ring piramide size, but it is only for sale in shops located in the Asia/Pacific region.
Regional Edition Cubans are short-run cigars made exclusively for sale in countries or regions around the world. The program has been in existence since 2005.
Regional Editions have been made for the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, and various other regions and countries. In fact, earlier this year Cuba released its first Regional Edition for sale only in Cuba.
Pacific Cigar is still awaiting shipment of its second 2010 regional-edition cigar, the Por Larrañaga Encantos. And they are not alone-as other countries have yet to receive all of their Regional Editions. Switzerland, for example, continues to wait for its La Gloria Cubana Triunfo, while the United Kingdom is expecting its La Flor de Cano Short Robusto.
