The tenth volume of the Habanos Collection has been released by Habanos S.A., the worldwide distributor of Cuban cigars, and the 2010 edition features the Bolivar Gran Belicoso.
Made at the Partagas factory in Havana, the Gran Belicoso measures 7 1/8 inches long by 54 ring gauge. It’s known as the rodolpho size in Cuban cigar factories, and only the San Cristobal de La Habana Murella shares its dimensions. More casually known as the “Habanos books,” only 1,000 boxes of 20 were made exclusively for La Casa del Habano shops, Habanos’s licensed franchise.
“The figurado format of the Gran Belicoso in this Habanos collection deeply connects with the tradition of the brand,” said an official Habanos release, adding that the tobacco inside was harvested from plantations located in Pinar del Río.
