I am writing to you now from Hungary in a mood of celebration of wonderful events.
First let me tell you an example how big the world has changed since your first issue. I believe that if I had wanted to purchase your first piece in 1992, I probably would have had to go straight to London to pick up the magazine as it must have been hardly available even in Western Europe, not to mention the then newly democratic country of Hungary.
Fast forward twenty years, and today, here in Budapest, I can subscribe online, pay online and receive each and every magazine before it hits the US newsstands! Please accept my appreciation and deepest thanks for this great service!
My real story for this picture: I received your 20th anniversary issue two days ago on Tuesday, 28 of August. The day, when in the small hours before dawn my first son, Marton (Hungarian for Martin) was born. I left him and his mother, Edit in the hospital to have some rest, arrived home and found your magazine in the post box! Great news on a great day!
It is of tradition here, that on the same day the new father goes out with his friends for a night of celebration called "milk starting party". There the amount of alcohol consumed is considered an important factor for the mother to commence having feeding milk for the newborn baby! :)
Please find attached the picture taken at the end of my "milk starting party", where my friends and I had a fantastic time sharing great Hungarian spirits along with great Bolivars and a Cohiba Siglo VI.
I will always remember that dawn, that day and that night as life changing times!
