The shield at the center of this band is quite detailed, and the raised rope borders around the chocolate-brown and cherry-red sections of the centerpiece are rendered with precision. "Habana" is clearly printed on both sides and extends out from the centerpiece. The vertical red lines against the white triangular background are consistent and clear, and do not run into or blend with the metallic gold. Above and below the red lines is a raised gold border, then raised dots, then another raised rule.

The counterfeiter who produced this fake certainly didn't spend too much time on his work. The shield in the centerpiece that should be highly detailed is nothing more than a blotch of color with a minute semblance of a crown at its top. There is very poor embossing throughout the band. The raised dots and raised lines that extend from the centerpiece are faint, and the overall hue of the band is that of a dull gold with some luster. A true band has a soft brownish tint.

This band is obviously counterfeit. The gold, brown and red colors don't come close to matching the original, and, while the raised borders are there, they are crude by comparison. The vertical red lines are way too thin, exposing more white in the band than the genuine article. As for the shield in the centerpiece, it lacks detail and is too small. Finally, the lettering is almost too precise, especially the "Habana" on either side of the centerpiece.
