Tasting Coordinator/Editorial Assistant
Clay Whittaker is the Tasting Coordinator and Editorial Assistant at Cigar Aficionado. Prior to joining the staff in 2011, Clay had worked for NBC, NPR, and contributed to numerous newspapers and magazines in the Southeast. He attended Hampden-Sydney College (where he enjoyed his first cigar) and studied at Oxford University (where he enjoyed his first Cuban). He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.
