Most Honduran cigar factories are located in Danlí, a tiny town in the southeast near the Nicaraguan border. One of the lesser-known gems of the country is Flor de Copan, a factory in western Honduras close to Guatemala. The high altitude gives the area a pleasant temperate climate, and the local Cuban-seed tobaccos make superb wrappers. One of Flor de Copan's best brands is La Aroma de Cuba, made for Ashton brand owner Robert Levin. The cigars are strong, stronger than regular Ashtons and modestly priced. At just under $4, the 5 1/2 by 44 corona gives amazing bang for the buck.
