30 Inches of Snow? Time for a Smoke

Webster's may need to rewrite the definition of determination to include a photograph of Greg Franks, a cigar enthusiast who resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
Franks, pictured, did not let this past weekend's Mid-Atlantic snowstorm, which dumped 30 inches of snow on the area, prevent him from enjoying a cigar.
"That's my backyard," Franks said, explaining the photograph he sent into Cigar Aficionado online. "I can't smoke inside."
A resident of Baltimore for 15 years, Franks works for Merrill Lynch/Bank of America and says he has enjoyed fine smokes for about 20 years.
Franks began smoking Cubans while he was living in Europe, and now he prefers to smoke either a Camacho or La Flor Dominicana cigar. He smokes about two or three cigars a week.
"I picked up the habit when I lived in Europe—in London," Franks said.
Married with three children, Franks has been a loyal subscriber to Cigar Aficionado for "about seven or eight years."
No doubt Franks' backyard retreat will be in use again shortly, as another big snowstorm is expected to hit the region soon.
