Classic Salomon Coming Back

Posted: Monday, December 14, 2009

By David Savona

The highest rated cigar ever made by Litto Gomez, the La Flor Dominicana Salomon, is heading back to cigar shops. A new shipment has reached Miami and will be shipped out later this week.

"Another 10,000 are going to hit the market this week," said Gomez, who makes the cigar in his boutique cigar factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.

The La Flor Dominicana Salomon rated 95 points in Cigar Insider and Cigar Aficionado magazine, tying it for highest score of the year. The full-bodied cigar retails for $23 and was described in a blind tasting to have impeccable construction, rich cocoa, black cherry and licorice notes and bold, complex flavors. The cigar is 7 inches long and 64 ring gauge at its fattest point.
