Cuban Imports Releases New Exile Wired

Following up on the original Exile line launched in 2006, Cuban Imports Inc. has released Exile Wired, an alternate version of the cigar and Cuban Imports’ main attraction at this year’s International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers trade show.
Wired differs from the original Exile series in a few ways. The cigars are wrapped in cellophane, while the original Exiles are individually wrapped in a reprint newspaper copy of the New York Daily Mirror decreeing the start of the U.S. embargo against Cuba.
The blend has changed as well. According to brand owner Michael Argenti, Wired is milder than the original. The packaging is also different, as the box is essentially a small wire-bound crate, hence the name.
Exile Wired is made at Nicaraguan American Tobacco S.A. (NATSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua, and consists of Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican filler tobacco; a Connecticut-broadleaf binder; and an Ecuadoran Havana-seed Criollo wrapper.
The new brand has not replaced the original Exile line, but has been released as a medium-bodied accompaniment. It’s also the least expensive long-filler cigar distributed by Cuban Imports.
